Creating a festive table for your guests and loved ones is such a great way to celebrate the season. I love to make each table special by layering a varity of looks and adding little trinkets and gifts as well. Mad For Plaid
Tartan prints are always so classic and traditional and super on trend this year. I love mixing prints and patterns to create some whimsey too. I started with a pretty velvet poinsettia placemat, then added a tartan charger. To add some pop and interest I placed a black dinner plate and a contrasting plaid accent plate. A script red and white scripted napkin bring another pattern into the mix. Instead of a napkin ring, I used a plaid ribbon and a little piece of faux greenery.
Golden Warmth
To create this look I started with a pine placemat. Then for some warmth, I added a wood charger. Next I placed an everyday white dinner plate and topped it with a pretty gold rimmed tree accent plate. For the napkin I placed a neutral linen style and used a gorgeous gold reindeer napkin ring. Finally, I tucked in some pretty gold flatware.
Simply Black and White
This simple look is understated and classy, yet still festive. For the color, I started with a cedar placemat. Then I placed a black textured charger to frame the pretty dinner plate. I love these pretty Christmas tree dinner plates I found at Hobby Lobby. To finish the look I did a bow napkin fold with a black napkin ring. The black velvet tree is a fun little trinket that guests can take with them.
Festive Flare
This look is a bit more casual, yet traditional too. The cedar placemat frames a black charger, white dinner plate and a fun plaid pattern accent plate for that pop of red. I brought in another pattern with the striped napkin and used a fun greenery napkin ring. The candy cane is the perfect final touch .
