Creating a beautiful Fall Mantel Is my favorite way to kick off the season and spotlight the beautiful colors and textures of Autumn. I’ve gathered some of my favorites from the past to give you some inspiration and ideas to get started.
Simple and Neutral
This look is perfect to start with in early Fall and can you all the way through Thanksgiving. The texture of the soft wheat combined with the white pumpkins is classic and goes with any decor type.
Rustic Vintage
I love the contrast of the soft wheat and pop of rusty amber. To get this look, I created an asymmetrical arrangement and then mixed up the textures with amber glass, wheat and jute to give warmth and all the Autumn vibes
French Country
This look just reminds me of a little French country cottage. I used a large round reclaimed wood pizza paddle as the background then combined a mix of dark and light, glass and texture with wheat and faux pampas grass. A collection of white pumpkins in various sizes and shapes appear to be sitting in a greenery field. The added hanging eucalyptus gave it such a unique look.
Country Chic
This style is perfect to transition from summer into Fall. If you’re not ready for orange and pumpkins just yet, this look is awesome. I love the effortless simplicity of the black candlesticks and vase . The honey and natural colored stems add warmth and texture and the large charcuterie board is the perfect backdrop to contrast with the black round mirror.
Rustic Beauty
Here is another look that can be a great transition from summer to Fall without using pumpkins or the vibrant Fall colors. I just used a dough bowl to hold some dried gourds and then tucked some rusty pods and natural yarrow for fullness and color. The candlesticks mimic the black and glass of the mirror and create a more symmetrical look to anchor the dough bowl. I just attached the wheat wreath with a command hook on the mirror.
Sophisticated Autumn Scene
This was my mantel last year and I just loved the symmetrical look of it all. Somehow it looks put together yet effortlessly. It has a bit of elegance but not too formal. My favorite thing is the contrast of the black vase, mirror and candlesticks with the pop of white faux pumpkins. I also loved the shape of the rust trailing seeded eucalyptus tucked in with the yarrow and wheat. The mustard leaves are the wow factor and bring the whole look together.
I hope that inspired you and gave you some ideas for planning your upcoming decor for the new season approaching. It’s always fun to gather ideas a little early so you can look forward to decorating and be sure you can find all the supplies you may need. I’m linking a few sources of things I love. However, some of these mantels are a few years old so sources may no longer be available. These are beautiful – can’t decide which is my favorite,
My problem is that I have 3 mantels in my home and all have a big screen tv above the mantel not leaving much room to for decor.
Would you post a few ideas for decor around a tv?
Thank you!
Well I don’t have any mantels with a TV over them so not sure how I can share that look unfortunately. I would probably only use a little stems or garland on it but it also depends on the size of the mantel space and the TV and what it’s surrounded with as well.
Thanks
Every idea gets me in the mood to drag my fall stuff out. The mantels are all beautiful.
