How To Make Simple, Inexpensive Home Updates That Make A Big Impact

There are so many simple and inexpensive projects you can do to your home that can make a big impact to any space. I’m sharing some of my favorite recent projects that have really taken our rooms to a new level.

Faux Brick Wall

When we recently updated our home office I really wanted to incorporate a brick feature wall. We were hoping to add an industrial chic vibe to the room. This faux brick panel from The Home Depot was so easy to work with. We first installed it then I added wall joint compound to give that exposed, aged look. Painted Cabinet Finish

To transform these bathroom cabinets to look like wood, I created this finish. I also added feet and cane to give it a more custom look. Then I changed out the hardware. We made several inexpensive changes i this room and it looks completely different and I love the fresh new vibe. You can get all the details here How To Update A Bathroom Vanity On A Budget

Board And Batten Wall Treatment

Hallways get overlooked a lot and they really can be elevated to look amazing with just a few simple touches. Adding wood trim to give a board and batten effect is a great way to get texture and depth to an otherwise boring area. You can also get very creative with wall galleries and think outside the box a little. Here’s a post on several ways to jazz up your hallways How To Update, Upgrade And Decorate A Plain Hallway

We did this update on our upstairs hallway and I love the character it added to the whole area.

In this entryway from our garage we did the same idea to create a mini mudroom. It was great use of space and added so much personality to the garage entry.

Not only did it add a pop of personality to the area but its more functional too.

Power of Paint

Never underestimate the power of paint. When in doubt, that’s the biggest, best way to make big changes for less money. Adding this bead board for texture and covering the floors with this peel and stick vinyl flooring was such a huge change and so simple to do. 1. It’s great to know more about flooring options. I like how you said that carpet is a good way to add warmth to our home. Right now we have all tile, and it’s just too cold. I’ll look into this indoor/outdoor carpet a little.

  2. There are certainly plenty of particulars like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to deliver up. I provide the thoughts above as common inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up the place an important thing might be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if greatest practices have emerged around issues like that, but I am positive that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the influence of only a moment’s pleasure, for the remainder of their lives.
