Happy birthday USA!! Let’s create a beautiful outdoor tablescape to celebrate. This year We are celebrating big this year and I can’t wait to get the whole family together. I have several go to tips when creating a table for any occasion. Come check out all the inspiration.
It’s so much easier for me to create a tablescape when I use this guideline. I start with a theme and color scheme first. However, for the 4th of July that’s pretty much a no brainer. Once I’ve determined those first 2 items, I move on to designing a place setting. I like to start there then create my centerpiece from the setting design.
Place settings
I found these outdoor placemats and the galvanized chargers at Hobby Lobby. They are the perfect combo of texture with the woven color and silver metal. This year I want to go all out, but also want it to be low maintenance. So, I’ve decided to use disposable plates and flatware. That way I’m not stuck washing dishes during fireworks fun! You can also make your own plate chargers like I did in this post How To Make Patriotic Dinner Plate Chargers
I used plain white paper napkins and made these super easy napkin rings. I shared the tutorial in this post. To add ambiance I placed a little lantern and candle at each place setting. I also created fun favor boxes and shared details on those here as well.
Centerpiece
For the center table decor, I added a few simple greenery stems, some faux red geraniums and white lanterns with candles.. I’m also going to hang paper light up lanterns from the umbrella.
By layering various prints and textures you can create a simple and festive table in a short amount of time. e sure to gather all your supplies ahead of time and have it all ready to pop together before your celebration.
