Celebrate the 4th in style with this super simple table idea. I had fun decorating our little breakfast room and thought it would be a perfect setting for a small gathering whether its a little breakfast, quick lunch or small dinner party. You can find more patriotic table decor here How To Create A Beautiful 4th Of July Outdoor Tablescape, Celebrate The 4th In Style.
Here are a few elements to create a festive, fun table for any celebration.
Mix Layers and Patterns
I love to mix up patterns when decorating tables for the 4th. There is just something fun and whimsical when checks and florals meet in red, white and blue color schemes. I started with a placement found at Hobby Lobby, then added these easy to make chargers in various colors of checkered print. You can get details on how to make them here How To Make Patriotic Dinner Plate Chargers
Then I topped the charger with a patriotic quote. You can add any type of saying you want, then cut it out and layer on top of the charger. Next, top it with a clear glass or plastic plate so you can see the saying through the plate.
Fun Napkins
You can do so many things with napkins to dress up a table. I rolled these bandanas that were folded in thirds and tied them with some jute to look like a firecracker. Then placed a little firework toothpick in the middle. It looks super cute and was super easy to do. You can also make napkin rings with finds from the craft or dollar store. Here are a few ideas I’ve made in the past How To Create A Beautiful 4th Of July Outdoor Tablescape, How To Make Some Simple And Pretty Decor Items For A Festive 4th Of July Table. You can also make cutlery bags like the ones shown above. I just hand painted little burlap bags with craft paint and tucked the flatware inside.
