Is there anything cuter than a cute little bunny? I love these sweet little plates from JCPenney. This table was fun to design because I really wanted to create something different and a little away from the traditional pastels. I like to incorporate pops of black into my tables and I love how this one turned out. It’s a little different, but still festive for any Easter celebration.
Color Scheme
My goal for this table was to create an unexpected, but festive spring Easter table. I wanted to mix crisp pops of black with the soft cream textures, pastel spring flowers and greenery and warm woods. Not a usual combination but I love how it turned out. The warmth of the wood gives a more casual vibe from the formality of the typical Easter table.
Centerpiece
I started with a textured cream background with the macramé runner. For height and warmth I added these gorgeous narrow acacia risers. Then I filled them with faux eucalyptus and soft Spring flowers. I pulled the colors from the floral bouquet flower napkins. To bring in the pops of black and give ambiance and more height to the table, I added black iron candlesticks of various heights and battery operated taper candles. For the final touch I added 2 sweet little wooden bunnies.
Placesettings
I started with wood chargers to bring in some warmth, then layered with our everyday black dinner plates. I love how they frame and pop the darling bunny accent plates. Each plate has a different motif. The gorgeous floral motif napkins soften the look and bring in some subtle color. Then I layered this darling wood bunny ear napkin ring with a leafy ring for color. Finally, I tucked in aour mat black every dat flatware to tie in more of the black.
I love the unexpected mix of textures, colors and elements. Thinking outside the box when creating a table gives your guests an unexpected surprise and makes them feel special.
