Easter Table Inspiration With A Matching Dessert

Hoppy Easter friends (almost anyway) I have a super fun Easter table idea for you thats very simple. I created this with items I already have and then made the napkin rings with very few supplies. It’s a quick, inexpensive and cute way to dress up a unique Easter table. However, the star of the table is the matching dessert. Read along for more details….

I love setting tables for holidays and Easter is one of my favorites. I think it’s because I love this fresh new take on the season  and all things bright and fresh. I created this easy table keeping it simple and adding the dessert as the showpiece-plus it’s quick to make and yummy!

Theme idea:

Peter rabbit’s dinner- ok that was a stretch but I wanted to focus on the dessert so I kept the table itself simple by using black and white. I love how the orange pops against it. The mix of patterns makes it a bit more whimsical too.

Place Settings:

I started with a burlap ruffle edge placemat to warm things up and create a base for the black charger to pop a little. Then I added the dinner plate and made these napkin rings. I mean it took all but 30 minutes. I purchased the carrots at Hobby Lobby and hot glued them to some wooden rings, also form Hob Lob… That’s it! Then I used a smaller check napkin to contrast with the buffalo check table runner.

Centerpiece:

I placed a large buffalo check runner down the center of the table, added my everyday black hurricane candles (old and I have no source, sorry). Then I used my MacKenzie Child’s check pitcher to hold some faux (but you could use real) tulips and tucked in a few extra carrots I had left over . That’s it!

Dessert:

How cute are these dirt cup carrot gardens? So easy and delish.

Step 1

Make instant chocolate pudding and place into clear glass or plastic cups.

Step 2

Add crushed chocolate cookies to the top to look like dirt clumps.

Step 3

Make the “carrots”- just melt white chocolate and add orange food coloring.

Step 4

Dip large strawberries into the chocolate and let them harden-Be sure to keep the green stems on them. Then place your carrots in the pudding cups and that’s all there is to it.

I love how casual and fun this table is. You can’t help but smile seeing it and what fun for Easter dinner, for kids or kids at heart.
