When I style a table, I usually start with a theme and a color scheme. I decided to start with basic black and white check for the theme and basic color vibe. The pops of spring greenery look so great against the backdrop of black
Placesettings
For the place settings I started with a white scalloped charger to frame the rest of the plates. I then added a black dinner plate to anchor the pretty white leaf accent plates. To add some pattern and texture, I layered a folded check napkin between the 2 plates. A little sprig of greenery is the perfect final touch to the look
Centerpiece
To create the centerpiece, I placed a buffalo check runner down the center of the table. Then I layered on some greenery to mimic the accent plates. Next I popped in some pretty white cherry blossom stems for contrast. Finally, I added some black candlesticks and battery candles for height and ambiance.
The overall look and vibe is very chic and simple. What’s great about this look is that it can really be done for any occasion because of its neutral and simple design.
