Gorgeous summer nights call for gorgeous summer tables and I created this fun one to share. I love this one because of the little romantic touch. It all started with a gorgeous runner I found at Hobby Lobby and then went from there . I’ll link at the end of the post everything that is available.
Theme
I love to entertain in the summer and creating pretty tables is my favorite part. This whole table was inspired by a beautiful table runner I found at Hobby Lobby. Hopefully they still have it, but if not you can still achieve a similar look. I always start with a theme to help me decide on colors and what elements I need. I wanted a sweet, light and romantic look with this table without the formality. Summer is all about casual, effortless style so this is the vibe I was going for.
Place Settings
I started with a pretty jute placemat to anchor the dishes. This natural element not only adds warmth and texture, but gives the casual summertime feeling I was going for. It also has a more whimsical shape and design to it.
Next I added a regular black dinner plate for that crisp pop of unexpected shading and to bring out the other colors in the table. I then added these cute straw fans I found at the Target dollar spot. I doubled up 2 napkin rings for more design with a cane woven ring and a big flower to tie in to the table runner. This adds the romantic vibe as well as the color.
Centerpiece
Like I said in the beginning, the runner was my inspiration and the main part of the tables look. So I kept the rest of the centerpiece simple by adding various heights of black candlesticks. This gives height, and ambiance to the look without blocking the guests view or taking away from the pattern on the table.
That’s all there is to it and I love the causal look and pretty feminine flare it has. It’s unexpected and still comfortable for any summer occasion.
This would be pretty for an outdoor Al Fresco dinner party as well. It’s fresh, simple and cheerful.
