Celebrate Dad with A fun Lake Themed tablescape. I think I’ve done almost every theme for Father’s Day tables but a lake theme, which is funny because we live on a lake! I found these fun dishes at Hobby Lobby recently and decided I had to get them and create a festive table for my baby daddy (husband) ….
Creating a table for Father’s Day can be so fun. There are so many great theme ideas, so to get you started think of what your dad’s hobbies and joys are. Color Scheme
Since I’m using a lake theme, blue and warm woods are the perfect combo to create this table. I found these napkins with a mix of blue tones and neutral hues and decided to create my color scheme. Pops of black give a more masculine feel and create a great frame for the accent plates.
Placesetting
To give a masculine vibe, I started with a warm wood charger. Next I added a black dinner plate and topped it with this fun lake life plate. Then I did a basic plaid napkin in a triangle fold and added a nautical knot napkin ring to “tie” in to the theme. Finally, I tucked in the black flatware.
Centerpiece
To create the centerpiece, I started with a large wood cutting board. Then, I draped an extra coordinating napkin for color. I added a round wood tray flanking it all with various black candlesticks and candles. For some color, I added stems of greenery for color filler and to bring in more outdoorsy touches.
Simple, classic, masculine and fun…just like dads are! So, My advice is to have fun and be creative with your decor and accents. I hope you enjoyed this cute table idea and can create a special of your own.
