Two Fun Father’s Day Tablescape Ideas With Napkin Folds

If you’ve followed me a while you’ll know how I love a great tablescape. I love to make our guests feel special by creating a unique tablescape. For Father’s day, why not make a special set up just for him? I decided to design 2 tables all around a fun napkin fold and named them accordingly. Come see what I came up with….

Dads Favorite Tie

For this look I did a simple napkin fold to look like a mens neck tie. Its super easy to create and looks perfect sitting right on the dinner plate. You can use any fun printed napkin. All the same pattern or mix them up for a whimsical vibe.

I kept the place setting simple starting with a jute placemat, then added a black charger and the dinner plate. This gave a more masculine feel and gave the perfect backdrop for the tie to take center stage.

Then I just nestled the cutlery in the middle of some mini wreaths to bring in a pop of color and a natural element.

I found the cute trophy mug in the dollar section of Target. You could use any style mug and use that as the table decor and the gift. Or have the kids make a cute chalkboard sign to give dad a special spot at the table.

Here’s how to create this fold:

Dads Favorite Shirt

Have you ever folded a napkin to look like a pressed men’s shirt before? I thought this would be a cute touch to the table and created a “tasting” table theme with it. You can gather a flight of glasses and give dad a tasting of craft beers, whiskey or wine. What ever his favorite is. You could also do various desserts, cheeses etc, you get the idea.

For the place settings I layered black on black starting with a round black placemat and adding a black charger. this gives some texture and depth to the table. Then I added the dinner plate and the cute shirt napkin.

For the center piece I gathered some tall candlesticks and various liquor bottles for color and height then added touches of fern to coordinate with the fern tie on the folded shirt.  Whatever your theme is you can incorporate that into the centerpiece.

Another fun item I added are these mini cast iron skillets I found at Hobby Lobby. I nestled them in a little greenery wreath. They would be fun with an apple pie or cookie with ice cream for dessert.
