This year our Easter plans changed (for the better) Since I’m not hosting, I wanted to make some quick, easy and portable treats to bring to our impromptu gathering this year. I made these 2 treats very quickly and they are not only easy, but cute and yummy…
Candy Flowers
Ingredients:
- Waffle pretzels
- White melting wafers
- Pastel M & M candies (or candy of your choice)
First, lay parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Next, lay your pretzels individually on the baking sheet
Then, add one wafter to the top of each pretzel and place in a warm oven for 2-3 minutes. Just enough to soften or slightly melt the wafers but not to liquify them.
Finally, add your candies onto the softened wafer in a flower petal shape
They are so uummy and have the perfect sweet, salty combination.
Rice Krispie Bird Nests
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- 3 T butter
- 1 pkg large Marshmallows
- Coconut colored with green food coloring
- Candy eggs (I used malted eggs)
First, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
Add the marshmallows and stir until melted. Then, pour the mixture in a bowl over the Rice Krispies and mix well. I rubbed butter on my hands to keep the mixture from sticking to my hands. Then press a small amount into a pre sprayed muffin tin and shape into little cups.
To dress them up, sprinkle your coconut “grass” into each nest and add your candy eggs.
