Simply Beautiful Valentine’s Day Wreath Ideas

The month of love is here and although I don’t decorate too much, I usually add a simple touch of “love”. My favorite decor item to make for most holidays is some type of wreath. They are just the perfect way to dress up a door, mirror or any space in your home. They don’t take up much space and can very often be made very easily with little cost. I’m sharing some very simple and inexpensive versions here. Of course feel free to dress them up as much as you want. Since I’m typically a more “neutral” gal, I like to use more minimal colors and textures.

Simple Eucalyptus

If you can use a glue gun, you can definitely make these first 2 wreaths with ease. I found the grapevine heart form at Michaels online. However, you can easily make a heart shaped wreath with regular grapevine and a little bit of wire.

All I did was cut the stems off the faux seeded eucalyptus stems. I used about 10 stems. Once you cut the stems off, start at the bend of the heart and glue the stems pointing downward working your way down one side to the point at the bottom and then repeat the other side. If you need to add more fullness, you can cut extra leaves of stems to glue and tuck in any gaps you may have.

Colorful Succulents

I used the exact same grapevine heart wreath to start building this easy design. All you need is a glue gun and some wire cutters or scissors. I used a variety of about nine different flowers. The key is to use a collection of different sizes colors and shapes. Then, just hot glue them in clusters wherever you want. I placed mine in a more asymmetrical arrangement to look as if the flowers are spilling down the middle of the heart. There are so many ways you could attach them and there is no wrong way to arrange the flowers. Just go with what your eye likes.

I love the simplicity and mix of color this wreath has. It would make a beautiful  gift as well!

Romantic Maiden Hair Fern

I made this wreath a few years ago with things I already had at home. Since we were at the start of the pandemic, I had limited ability to get supplies. So, I used a coat hanger to form my heart and used some extra faux greenery and flowers I had on hand.
