It’s Fall y’all and the next few months are just so festive and cozy. I don’t know about you but I could use some comfy, cozy vibes about now. I also love to entertain and this year we finally get to start family gatherings again. So I thought it was time to start having some fun with tables again. This is the first of many Fall table setting ideas and it’s super easy….
Color Scheme
For this table I kept things neutral with my signature black and added some fun pops of fall color. I love the look of crisp black with the soothing muted tones of autumn.
Pattern Mixing
Another thing I love to do with tables is layer textures and patterns. I think it adds so much character and interest to the place setting. I used a pretty textured placemat and mix of polka dots with check. The trick is to vary the size of the patterns. Small dots with larger checks are a great combo. I used the solid black placemat to ground it all but the texture of it acts as a pattern as well.
Special Touches
To create more interest, I added a leaf shaped accent plate. These are perfect for serving bread, appetizers or desserts and they add a unique flare to the place setting. Using a fun napkin ring is another way to upgrade the place setting and tie in the theme of the table scape. These cute napkin rings give a pop of color and a little whimsey too. I found the leaf plates and pumpkin napkin rings at my local Hobby Lobby in the Fall section.
Centerpiece
To create the centerpiece I used a round cutting board to anchor a large wooden dough bowl. Then I placed in a few leaf stems and popped a cute faux white pumpkin. For another element of texture I placed a white wooden chain trailing out the bow. It would also be cute with beaded garland.
