How To Create A Cozy Fall Bedroom

Fall is all about the cozy vibes at home. From soft textiles, cozy layers and touches of color to items in nature, all the elements needed to make your home feel like the season of Autumn. Just some small touches are all you need to create that environment in your home. I love to bring Fall into our bedroom too. Here are my tips for simple changes you can make to update your home for Fall while keeping it cozy and inviting.

Tip #1 Layered Textiles

To create a cozy vibe, layering is a must. Combine various patterns and prints and vary the fabric pattern or type. Mix a knit with linen and cotton. Mix up patterns and prints, but keep the color tones monochromatic and neutral if you want a more soothing, vibe. Be sure to add a pretty throw in a chenille, flannel or knit and of course pile on the pillows varying prints and sizes.

Tip #2 Neutral Accents

I love me some Fall color, however in the bedroom, neutral tones can give a more soothing, relaxing feel to the space. Take advantage of mixing all the softer pallets of fall such as taupe, beige, creme, brown, rust, wheat etc. This pretty pillow pulls in all the tones I’ve collected together and is a great anchor to tie it all together.

Baskets and trays are great ways to add accent pieces to group items together for displaying. This pretty leaf shaped tray is perfect to hold little pumpkins or pinecones. Also, wood candlesticks and vases are great vessels to add height and additional texture. Don’t forget the candles for ambiance.

Tip #3 Touches Of Fall Foliage

Wheat, leaves, berry sprays, pinecones and white pumpkins are great additional items to add that will still feel neutral and calming and easy to incorporate into any vignette or space. Simple wheat bundles add height and variety without being too overpowering. Wheat and pampas grass wreaths have softer edges and are more neutral to incorporate.

As you can see it doesn’t take much to create a simple Fall vibe in your bedroom that still feels cozy and inviting.
