Are you ready to have some fun with your table? I hope so, because I’m excited to share some great table ideas with you. The holiday season is filled with so many opportunities to be creative and adventurous with decor. It’s also the time when most people will be entertaining in some form. Holiday entertaining usually involves some type of food or meal and therefore, a table! If you aren’t normally someone who hosts guests or even if you are, coming up with a clever or creative¬† table setting can be overwhelming or just another detail that adds more to your already full to do list. Table settings are my favorite thing to do, and if you’ve followed my blog for a while, you’ll know that I love to share fun ideas for the table. My hope is that this will help you out a bit my friend!….

The best thing about decorating a table for Christmas is that you already have a theme and the options of where to go from there are endless. From traditional formal colors, to neutral or whimsical the skies the limit. You can do almost anything and the best thing about it is that there are so many resources for decor just about anywhere.

  • Centerpieces and accents pull a table together and make it extra special. You can use real greenery or fake or a combination of the two. Special items you have elsewhere in your home can be brought to the table as a wow factor or conversation starter on the table.
  • Name cards and little gifts are a pretty touch that make your guests feel extra special. Many items can be found in dollar sections and craft stores.
  • Layering place settings adds so much style and creativity to your table. There are so many ways to layer plates, charger and place mats, so have fun mixing patterns, prints & textures.

Classic black and white

I love using black and white in my decor, especially on the table. Adding a pop of christmas greenery makes the whole look so festive. Below are a few options

For this look, a simple striped napkin with a mini wreath napkin holder, the look is tied together . Mixing plaids, and stripes adds another element of texture and pattern to the look. Mini chalkboard tags make great name cards to personalize for your guests

The wood initials are another fun way to personalize your table and add a fun, unexpected surprise to the table.

Festive & Whimsical(perfect for a kids table or adults who are kids at heart)

These fun little stockings are a great way to house your flatware and maybe a little treat or toy. It’s a fun way to treat your guests and adds a bit of whimsy to the table

Have fun with napkin rings. Some can be easily made with felt. The little santa was just a little beard cut from felt, a little rectangle cut out and peach felt added. Pop on some googly eyes a red nose and glue together. You can use fun ribbon and an ornament or make holly leaves. There are so many ways to dress up a napkin that are fun and easy. Look at dollar stores and the ornament section of most stores for inspiration.

Frosty Winter Theme

Theres just something cozy about a winter wonderland look. Mix winter whites, with white, flocked trees and a glittery deer and you have a fresh winter table that feels festive and fun.

      Hi Mary,
They are from a company I used to sell for Called Southern Living at Home. Unfortunately they aren’t around anymore. I did leave a few links to some similar styles in my post. You might be able to find them on Ebay or Craigs list?
Thanks so much for visiting my blog, I really appreciate it.
