Shhh, I have a secret about this adorable cake…. It’s actually a storebought cake and I jazzed it up in about 5 minutes. If you have no time to bake but want to impress your guests, this little gem is the easiest and cutest party dessert ever. Anyone can do this in under 30 minutes for sure.
Here’s what you need:
- Storebought (or homemade) cake frosted white-mine was 9″
- A glass bowl to fit on top. Mine was 8″ and I found it at Hobby Lobby
- Character decor like marshmallow snowmen, marzapan trees, candy canes and more
- Shredded coconut
Step 1
First, buy an undecorated white frosted cake. I got mine at Target and it had a pretty piped border which was perfect for me.
Step 2
Next, you can add any fun decorations you find like marshmallow snowmen, marzipan shapes, candy canes and more. Whatever you can find. I got my marzipan tress at World Market. Be sure to mark where the rim of the bowl will sit so you know how much space to arrange the decor on top first.
Step 3
Then, sprinkle on the shredded coconut and add soe on the sides and base as you like.
Step 4
Finally, place the glass dome on top for your final look.
That’s all there is to it! Super cute right? I just love how festive and unique it is, not to mention simple.
