Festive vibes and Christmas themes can be just as pretty without the traitional red. This color scheme is calming and elegant and can go with any home decor style. The key is to focus the color on the greenery and add a good mix of textures, and layers. Here are the elements I use when planning and styling a tablescape.
Color Scheme
I always start with a color scheme of 3-4 colors that work together and go with the theme of the event. For this look I used green, white, gold and various shades of brown.
Placesettings
I like to layer place settings and vary the textures and patterns. First, I started with a cedar placemat then added a wood charger for warmth. Next, I added a white beaded dinner plate . Then I placed a pretty linen napkin and completed by doubling a gold stag head and cedar napkin rings. Finally, I placed gold flatware next to the setting.
Centerpiece
For the centerpiece, I started with a linen runner as the base. Then I varied a mix of table top trees in gold, wood and brown and centered a gold staghead. This mimics the place settings and creates a more cohesive look.
I love the siplicity and elegance with the mix of wood and gold. You could also add some gold candlesticks for ambiance.
If you need more color you can always pop in a pttern with the neutrals and a pop of red. However, the soothing and cozy vibes of this color combination is still very festive. You can find sources linked below.
