I love to decorate our home for the seasons. In recent years I’ve started incorporating some of the seasonal decor in our bedroom. We love the cozy vibes and festive feel it brings to the room. Bedding
I like to start with the bedding as the main feature. That doesn’t mean you have to change out all of it. You can switch out your duvet cover or add a coverlet that has a warmer, heavier texture and richer color. Layering patterns and prints but staying in one color pallet creates a more soothing look.
I kept our same neutral duvet set, but added some heavier patterned pillows in warm rich colors with some texture. You can also add a chunky knit throw and more pillows with knit and boucle fabric.
Seasonal Stems
Add some pretty stems to fit the season like colorful leaves, pods and branches. These pretty stems are perfect by themselves in a neutral vase.
I also added a wreath and some pods and gourds to create a pretty fall vignette on the dresser.
Artwork
You can also incorporate some artwork that has fall scenes or iconic items like pumpkins and leaves to warm up the walls and create that seasonal vibe.
It really doesn’t take a lot of stuff to change things out. It’s also a great way to make some subtle changes and feel refreshed in the space. Once Christmas comes around, I will change out those fall items for holiday related decor and twinkle lights.
