Hey Fall fans, here’s a different vibe for a Fall tablescape that’s simple and unexpected. Sometimes it’s fun to go off from traditional expected holiday colors and make up your own rules! For this table I decided to stick with a simple black and white color scheme and I love how it turned out.
When I put tablescapes together, I start my thinking about the theme and color scheme. Since this is a Fall table, the theme was pretty easy. For the colors I wanted it to be strictly black and white with some neutral fall decor to keep it soft.
Place settings
I found these adorable black and white pumpkin plates at Hobby Lobby and knew I had to create a table with them. I started with a pretty scallop plate, layered on our everyday dinner plates and then used the accent plate as the star of the table. You can find darling accent plates on Amazon, Pottery Barn and even dollar stores. then, to keep it casual, I just knotted a large buffalo check napkin and laid it on the top of the plate stack.
Centerpiece
Since this table is about keeping things simple, I really I wanted to have the centerpiece look chic and elegant and not too fussy. I used a black bowl to house some cute, white mini pumpkins. i tucked i some simple white fall leaves and then added black candlesticks and candles. They added height, but because they are thin, there’s no blocking of the guests view across the table.
That’s all there is to this simple, but chic table. Of course, if you like more color you can certainly add it with a different napkin or pops of orange with the pumpkins. Also, you can add colorful accent plates to change things up.
