What’s your favorite space to decorate at Christmas? Mine is always the mantels. We have a double sided mantel , one side is the greatroom, the other is our bedroom. Creating this mantel was so easy because of the beautiful greenery. I wanted a pretty yet effortless look.
Garland
I used 2 strands of this cedar/eucalyptus garland. I anchored it to the mantel with a few small nails inserted into the top of the mantel wood. Then I tucked in some berries and extra seeded eucalyptus.
Accents
To add more texture and visual interest, I added some vintage ornaments tied with fishing line to the garland. The knit stockings give a cozy vibe as well. The wood candlesticks add some warmth and contrast to the greenery as well.
Lighting
Lighting is essential for holiday decorating. I added some warm glow to the look by adding warm fairly lights and battery operated candles.
