Two Ideas For Making A Spring Hoop Wreath

I love the hoop wreath trend. They have such a classic, clean lined vibe but also add a unique touch to any space in your home. I’ve created 2 different styles and they are so quick and easy to make. You also need very little supplies, in fact you can even use left over or scrap greenery you may have lying around.

Style #1 Light and Airy

Supplies needed:

  • Basic hoop wreath-You could also use an embroidery hoop (all supplies purchased at Hobby Lobby)
  • Wired ivy or greenery- I love this pretty paper garland. It’s wired and easy to work with
  • 3-4 delicate floral picks
  • Wire cutters
  • Florist wire or glue gun

Step 1

First cut your stems so that you can lay out and arrange the look you want.

Step 2

Then, wrap your wired garland around the hoop. This wreath is more asymmetrical in nature so no need to get it perfectly even on both sides. Give it a more organic look.

Step 3

Add the rest of your floral picks. I found that I could used the wire pieces from the already applied garland to anchor in the other pieces of greenery. You can use hot glue to make things a bit more sturdy if you need to.

Since this has a more wildflower type look, letting things lay naturally and flow gives this wreath its beauty and character.

Style #2 Beaded Floral Hoop

I love the texture this wreath has with the warm wood beads and gorgeous floral bouquet clusters. I actually bought this wreath already beaded at Hobby Lobby. However you could easily bead your own with a regular hoop wreath ad a package of wood beads (it just adds more work to the project )

You can get all the details on how to take this wreath here How To Make a Beaded Spring Wreath Both of these wreaths would make really pretty mothers’ day gifts as well.

So which one is your favorite. They are both so different and easy to make you don’t have to pick, just make both!
