How To Make a Beaded Spring Wreath

Pretty Spring vibes coming your way with this cheerful and simple DIY spring wreath. I’ve seen a similar look before and always have wanted to try and create one similar. With just a few supplies and an hour of time you can have this beauty for you front door. I think it would look great anywhere for spring/summer. You can do any color combo you want and make.

Supplies: (all supplies purchased at Hobby Lobby)

  • Hoop wreath -plain or already beaded
  • Wood beads if needed to create the bead wreath
  • 3-4 bunches of flowers of your choice – I used 3 different color of ranunculus
  • 1 bunch of greenery of your choice . Something that flows like a vine
  • Glue gun
  • Wire cutters/scissors

Step #1

First prepare or make your beaded wreath if you did not buy one already complete. Then cut your stems and flower bunches into individual stems or flowers off of stems.

Step #2

Start creating your base by laying out the shape you want. Then start gluing the vines first to create a base/background for the flowers. You can also use some of the leaves from your flower bunches. That creates a more substantial base to attach your flowers and anchors them better to the wreath.

Be sure to vary the directions of your greenery stems so they flow differently and look more natural.

Step #3

Lay out your flowers to see the direction you want them to go. Be sure to vary the colors and sizes. Also, bend you flowers out so they are flat against the wreath. This gives them a more realistic feel and look. Once you have a general ideas of the look you want, then start gluing the flowers to the greenery base you have created. You may also need to bend or redirect some of the flowers once they are attached.

Step #4

Hang and enjoy your wreath!!

So what do you think, isn’t it so fun and different? I love the wood tones with the soft mix of flowers and greenery. Its such a nice texture combination for a spring/summer look.

I had planned to place it on my front door, but love how it looks in the kitchen. It just looks happy and cheerful in there.
