4 Haunting Halloween Cocktails

Halloween isn’t just for kids you know! I mean adults can enjoy too and I’m sharing a few easy cocktails to celebrate too. I shared these last year and they are just too fun not to repeat. These unique drinks are perfect to add to your Halloween party or a simple dinner party for 2. Whatever way you celebrate, here are 4 beautiful and spooky halloween cocktails to entertain and impress your ghouls and guys…

Poison Apple

This drink is not only delicious but it has a bit of sparkle to give it a glamorous look.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 oz. Pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz Grenadine
  • 4 oz apple juice or cider
  • 1 oz Fireball
  • edible glitter found in cake decorating stores

Fill a shaker with, mix all ingredients and shake. Pour into a class then add your glitter and swirl with a spoon.

Witches Brew

Ok, this one is super simple… basically mix your favorite cocktail and add green food coloring. I made a Gin and Tonic with lime and added 2 drops of food coloring. What makes it pretty is the colored sugar, so add this to your glasses first. Just add some green food coloring to a little bit of sugar on a shallow plate. Rub the rim with a lime then tip edge of glass into the sugar.

Black Widow

The black widow is a beauty but beware, it may turn your tongue a little black!

First line the glass with black sugar. I mixed black food coloring in a small amount of sugar and placed on a shallow plate.

Here’s what you need for the drink:

  • 4 oz Blackberry juice or cran/blackberry
  • 2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • 1 drop black food coloring (only if you want it really black)

Vampire Cocktail

This is so much fun to make. I serve the drink mixed with the syringe and let guests finish the drink by quesszing the “rasberry puree” into the glass.

Here’s what you need:

  • Pint of raspberries
  • Sugar
  • 1 oz Vodka
  • Amaretto

Ok so there you have it, pretty easy. If you are having a party, you can set up a spooky beverage bar and have a few of these set up for guests to mix with a menu and the recipe. Or you can serve one type and have the glasses all prepped to go ahead of time.
