Another day of gift making, my favorite Christmas activity. If you’ve followed me a while you’ll know how much I enjoying making and packaging homemade gifts. This one might be one of my favorites for the Christmas holidays. Not only is this gift beautiful, but it’s simple and very inexpensive. Win /Win am I right ? So let me show you how easy it is to make this homemade rosemary mint bath soak ornament.
This fun gift only takes about 5 minutes or so to make. You can make a large quantity to so that means lots of cute gifts to give for teacher, coworkers, friends and more.
I’m a big fan of taking baths, especially for soaking achy muscles or to relax. These bath salts are the best self care pampering bath gifts. They contain Epsom salts which is magnesium sulfate that can ease achey muscles, and detoxify skin. Add in some essential oils for a healing and relaxing aromatherapy and you have the perfect combination for the perfect bath!
You can customize these any way you want adding additional herbs or salts.
Here are some beautiful fragrance combinations I’ve used in the past
Lavender mint
Eucalyptus mint
Peppermint lavender
Bergamot geranium
These are the supplies you’ll need:
- Epsom Salts
- Himalayan salt (if desired)
- Essential oil-Spearmint
- Finely chopped fresh rosemary
- Clear Plastic ornaments- Be sure they open at the top not the break apart in the middle type.
- Ribbon and embellishments of your choice
I love adding the pink Himalayan salt because of the beautiful color it gives the soak. You can also add dead sea salts or other herbs like lavender or rose buds.
- Combine salts and oils
- Add rosemary
- Mix well
- Add to your container. I placed The ornament in a bowl to hold it steady, added a funnel in the top then added the salts to each ornament
- Embellish as you want
Once you have your ornaments filled, decorate as you want. I tied a pretty black satin ribbon and then with red and white twine tied a fresh sprig of rosemary. I love the black red and green combination for Christmas.
To finish off the gift I made these cute labels you can print rosemary mint bath soak. I just peeled off the labels and added them to chalkboard tags.
Aren’t these so fun? Not only are they easy to make, they are pretty and festive. Be sure to make extra for yourself too.
