Hey friends! Four days until Christmas can you believe it? I wanted to share my beautiful festive door all dressed up for Christmas with my new handleset from Delaney Hardware. Our door was in need of a major update so let me show you what we did…

 

 

Here’s what our door looked like before. I painted it quickly when we first moved in and haven’t done much to it since. When Delaney Hardware asked me to join them for their 12 Doors of Christmas campaign I jumped on it right away.

I have no idea why but I never painted the surround around the door and it makes me cringe looking at how I left it that way for so long. Also our old handset was practically falling off and so tarnished. Here are the 3 steps I took to create our beautiful new door.

 

Step 1

 

The first thing I did was clean the door well and paint it and the surround frame with Mopboard black by Benjamin Moore. I can’t believe the difference it made to paint that additional area. It made the door look so much bigger.

 

 

Step 2

But what made the door look ultra amazing was this gorgeous Bravura 973 handleset in the new satin brass finish from Delaney Hardware https://delaneyhardware.com/. It is so elegant and I love the chic, clean lines that it has.

 

 

I love how the brass finish ties in with the gold accents in the door window. It also makes the door look much more updated.

 

 

Can you believe how much bigger the door looks just painting out the trim around the doorway? Now I’m wondering why I waited so long.

 

 

Step 3
