How To Make Simple And Delicious Apple Fries

Do you know one thing that I love about this time of year?… the delish treats! Y’all there are so many yummy dessert/treat ideas out there and tis the season! Now more than ever we are all wanting comfort food and this couldn’t be more comforting.. Easy apple fries with caramel sauce, that had me at caramel. We’ve been having so much fun with our new air fryer so I had to try this one out for sure.

I love using an air fryer because you get the crisp texture we all love with fried food, but not the unhealthy oily yuck. I could not believe how light and crisp these were, especially hot.

Heres what you need:

  • 2-4 large apples ( I like the Gala)
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 1 C flour
  • 1 C graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Caramel sauce for dipping

Step # 1 -Prep

Heat your air fryer to 480-400 degrees

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper

Peel, core and cut the apples into wedges

Step #2

Add flour into a medium size bowl

Combine the graham cracker crumbs and sugar in a shallow dish

Beat the eggs and pour into a shallow dish

Step #3

Toss the apple wedges into the flour first

Dredge the floured apples into the beaten eggs

Then, roll the apple wedges  in the graham cracker mixture

Place the wedges on a parchment lined baking sheet until ready to fry.

Coat the bottom of the basket with oil and then spray the apple pieces with a light coat of oil once you’ve placed them ina single layer in the basket. Fry in the air fryer at 380 degrees fo 5 minutes then turn them over and cook another 2-3 minutes.

Step #4

Warm up the caramel sauce if desired and serve with your apple fries. They will go fast so make plenty!
