Happy October…say what seriously I mean where did September go? This season is already flying by. Last week I shared some easy and fun table setting ideas and each week I’m sharing a table with the look complete. Today is how to set a simple fall neutral tablescape with a neutral theme. You can read about. last weeks theme here How To Create A Beautiful Fall Harvest Table Scapeand here are the 4 place settingsFour Simple And Beautiful Fall Tablesetting Ideas
I love adding pops of black to a neutral table. When putting a table scape together I always use this same formula.
Color scheme
Working with a color scheme is really helpful when deciding on how to set up the look you want. Try to keep it around 3 colors or 4. Keeping a cohesive color collection gives the table a less cluttered feel and is much easier to put together. For this table Im using natural, black and creamy white.
Layered Place Setting
First I started with a burlap ruffled placemat then layered with a black charger and the white dinner plate. Layering color and texture give the table so much character.
Unique Napkin Fold
Then I brought all the colors together with this large plaid napkin and finished it off with a natural wood napkin ring . These were a gift from a friend but were purchased at Hobby Lobby.
For some additional character, I added this mini cutting board and topped it with a pumpkin. You could easily add a fun appetizer or dessert instead to place on the cutting board.
Centerpiece
For this centerpiece I went really simple. I let the texture of the runner give the detail, the large candlesticks some height and a big white pumpkin to balance it all out. The centerpiece doesn’t have to busy fancy or busy. Sometimes you can just add and item to complete the look of the table. Other times you can actually make it the star of the table.
Stay tuned for 2 more table ideas (and maybe a Halloween thrown in as well) This is such a festive and cozy time of year. I think it’s the comfort we are all wanting after this cray cray year so far. My hope is that the Fall and holiday season will bring joy and simplicity to all. Be sure to subscribe to my weekly newsletter to stay in the know.
