How To Create A Beautiful Fall Harvest Table Scape

Fall is here and I’m so loving it! The change is definitely welcome and I love all the cozy vibes that come with the season. Today I’m sharing a Fall harvest tablescape ideas that would be perfect for any Fall gathering. You can pin this for later and use for Thanksgiving too. I shared for different place settings last week and you can read about them here Four Simple And Beautiful Fall Tablesetting Ideas

Here are my 4 tips for decorating a table:

Tip #1

Start with a theme or category to create your vision. If it’s a specific holiday then you have tip 1 complete. However you can create a second theme idea as well. For fall it could be pumpkins, harvest, check, pinecones whatever is related to the season. That way you have a general idea with where to start. It will help you gather all the related items and keep the table cohesive. Also, it will help you in your planning so you won’t get overwhelmed.

Tip #2

Create layers when putting place settings together. This gives your table some texture. Items like wood, porcelain, textiles and plants to name a few, create a great layer when all put together. Start with a placemat or large charge then add a dinner and salad or accent plate. You can layer the napkins in anywhere you want to place them, the possibilities are endless.

Tip #3

Create your centerpiece and use it to tie in the entire table together. Mimic your place settings and have fun with the details. It’s fun to create a conversation starter or add an element of surprise for your guests. For this centerpiece I nestled a neutral pumpkin and some greenery in a wood bowl to keep with the neutral look and warmth of the table.

Tip #4

Add a trinket or unexpected item to the place setting. In this table I used the mini cutting boards and a wreath to anchor the gourd on each place setting. Miniature items can be found in dollar stores or spots. Mini pumpkins, wreaths, buckets, boards are some examples. I also like to create a favor or take home item to present on the place setting for special occasions.

For this look I kept the color scheme very basic starting with natural elements such as the jute table runner and charger. The pop of black gives a crisp look against the neutral background. I love how it frames the plate and decorations in the place setting.

The mustard napkin and coordinating gourd give a fall vibe and the green wreath finishes off that harvest look.
