When looking at beautiful attributes of a home, curb appeal is always so important. For me it’s the perfect way to welcome our guest and greet visitors. There are so many simple things you can do to add a beautiful touch to your entryway. Here is how I did my porch for Spring/summer and it’s been such a simple and perfect touch for the season.
There are a few things that are a must in creating the perfect porch setting, here are some of my favorites…
One item that adds pretty ambiance is lighting. Battery operated candles in pretty lanterns and a fun fixtures to light the way will bring character and style to your entryway.
This little farmhouse light adds so much character and visual appeal to the whole space.
Another pretty element to add to your front porch is a fun doormat and even better layer them for more texture, pattern and style. I added the home sweet home on top of the bold buffalo check. I love how it makes the original mat look more substantial pops against the check.
what better way to welcome your guests than with a fun sign. We hung this custom made sign with hooks to give it a store like feel. Also, it will make changing it out seasonally super easy. Look for saying that represent your family and home and that will tell a story to your visitors.
Greenery and Plants
Ferns are so easy to care for and because of their substantial and light, airy feel they are the perfect plant for porches. They have such a southern, welcome y’all feel.
This simple window box filled with varying plants of various styles gives a fresh botanical feel tucked between the ferns.
Front Door Decor
I love to decorate my door and change out with various looks for the seasons. I love how this faux fern wreath coordinates with the ferns and greenery on the porch. I just added the black and white check bow to tie in with the rug and give it a little pop.
Just a few simple touches can create a beautiful and eye catching approach to your home by welcoming guests and making them feel at home. I hope some of these ideas gave you some inspiration and ideas to freshen up and decorate your own front porch. I can’t wait to style it all for Fall and the upcoming holidays. Stay tuned for all the fun looks to come…
