How To Create A Beautiful Thanksgiving Table That Goes With Christmas Decor

This has been a weird year friends, am I right? And since there is nothing considered normal in these strange times, we could all use a little extra sparkle and joy. I used to decorate for Christmas after Thanksgiving. However, since I started the blogging thing, starting earlier is a necessity. We really love the extra twinkle to enjoy for Thanksgiving too. So starting early has become a loved tradition. One thing that makes it hard is how to  create a pretty Thanksgiving table that still works with Christmas decor. I have your solution and all the details for how to create a beautiful Thanksgiving table that goes with Christmas decor.

I love a good table setting and making my family and friends feel special. Since for most of us, the holidays will most likely be celebrated in a smaller, more intimate way, but it’s still important to make it special. I’m loving how this turned out and how well it looks with the touches of Christmas decor. Here are a few tips to accomplish this look:

Tip #1 Neutral Place Settings

In order fo this to work, I didn’t want to incorporate fall colors into the table bust still wanted it to feel like fall. Starting with a neutral place setting using black and white, I could add the other items easily without them clashing . I started with a greenery placemat, added a pretty black linen charger and topped with our every day dinner plate.

The napkins with their thankful saying added some whimsey. I doubled up 2 different napkin rings to bring in the centerpiece look and wood tones. Both napkin rings are from Hobby Lobby

Tip #2 Natural Elements

Using lots of pretty greenery such as pine and mixing it with pinecones, I was able to create a woodsy holiday feel that incorporates both holidays. For the centerpiece I layered some pine greenery, seeded eucalyptus, white berries and candles.

Tip #3 Ambiance and Twinkle

Candle light and twinkle lights give a war, cozy glow to any space. I love how the candles glow along with the Christmas lights on the garland and tree. These battery operated lights are perfect for creating a soothing mood and brightening up the table. You could also add battery operated twinkle lights in with the garland down the center of the table.

I love the effortless and cozy feel of this table and how seamlessly it looks with the rest of our home decor right now. For more Thanksgiving table ideas you can visit these posts:
