“Don’t worry, Bee happy”, and celebrate friendship any time of the year. Myself and a few girlfriends wanted to gather a small group of besties before the busy school year and holiday season revs up. We shared the duties and kept it super simple-my job was the decorations. I came up with this cute theme and ran from there. Come check out our fun brunch….
Theme/Color pallet
Whenever I plan a party, I start with a theme and color scheme. It just makes all the details so much easier to put together. The “bee happy” theme was super cute and perfect for ending the summer. The black and white color pallet mixed with some cheerful yellow and colorful fruit gave it the happy vibe I was looking for.
I made this beautiful champagne ice mold for the mimosa bar. It was so easy to make and really looked gorgeous on the table. You can find the link to this mold here
I added thinly sliced lemons, oranges and grapefruit and finished off with some pretty flowers.
It was so easy to make and really is a show stopper for the table.
Food/Table decor
We set everything up buffet style using one table for the food and another for a mimosa bar. On the mimosa bar I added 3 juices; orange, peach and grapefruit. Then I made some pretty garnishes with oranges, berries, grapefruit, peaches and mint.
I found these cute plates and napkins then aded a stripe runner and fresh flowers down the center of the table. Varying the heights of the dishes with risers and stands gives a nice variety and vibe to a buffet table.
For our menu we served
2 types of quiche
scones and muffins
fresh fruit
mimosas and iced tea
Overall it was such a wonderful day just catching up and enjoying each others company. We may not get the chance to gather as much as we’d like to, but when we do it fills the soul and uplifts us all.
Son’t forget to make time for friends every once in a while. Just a few extra details can make everyone feel so special.
