Bonjour!! For my moms 80th birthday she really wanted to go to Paris, however that wasn’t possible with her health. So, I decided to bring Paris to her with a fun French party theme. Come see all the details and how simple it was to put together.
Color Scheme
I decided to go with classic black and white and add a pop of pink for a feminine flare to the look. Black and white stripes gave some texture and pattern to the tablescape and set up of the theme.
Party Favors
I always like to provide fun party favors for guests. It’s a great way to say thank you and show appreciation for their attendance. It also makes them feel extra special . The first party favor was super easy and inexpensive. I started by decorating some white gable boxes using a stamp and some sweet little flowers from the craft store. Inside I added a lavender sachet and made some Lavender bath salts. They are so easy and inexpensive to make. I just added some lavender essential oil to epsom salts and filled them in clear bags. Next I made a little sticker to seal the bag and label with instructions.
The other party favor was a cute “make your own flower Bouquet” bar. This was so fun and everyone loved creating a bouquet to take home with them. I purchased inexpensive flower bunches from the grocery store and placed them in containers on a bar cart. Then I made simple cones with brown craft paper and tied them with string. When guests are ready to leave they can grab a cone and fill it with their favorite flowers.
Food
I wanted the food to be simple and easy to graze on. So I filled croissants with chicken salad and placed them in brown paper bags that I stamped with an Eiffel tower and Bonjour stamp. This made it easy to grab and go. Then I made fruit kabobs and a large charcuterie board with various meats and cheeses. Another fun addition were the Macarons I found at Costco. They are so French and colorful, and were the perfect touch to the table.
Desserts
My friend made this adorable strawberry cake and we decorated it with a topper I purchased. I made the sweet cupcakes and finished them off with an Eiffel tower topper. I loved how festive the striped wrappers finished off the look.
It was such a fun celebration and I. know my. mom loved every detial. I also played French cafe music to set the mood and it really made us feel like we were in Paris for just a little bit.
