Do you decorate your bedroom for the holidays? I absolutely love to add some cozy vibes and twinkle to our room for the holidays. It doesn’t really take much to create a festive holiday room. This year I wanted a little more neutral and organic look. Here are a few more ideas to check out How To Create A Festive And Cozy Christmas Bedroom/Guestroom, How To Create A Cozy Christmas Bedroom
When designing a festive bedroom, I add a few basic elements to create a simple but beautiful space.
Bedding
There are several options when setting up a holiday bed. In our guest rooms, I like to add more whimsey with holiday prints and colors. However, for our bedroom I like a more neutral calming vibe. I stayed with our everyday bedding in layers of neutral tones and textures. The only item I added was a lush fur pillow, it was just enough. I also added a chunky knit blanket for another layer of coziness and warmth.
Dresser Decor
I added the majority of the decor here, yet still kept it simple. A few paper trees and vintage ornaments created the vignette for this space. I love to collect vintage ornaments and have had this collection a long time. Each year I add a few to it, so it’s a special display. I like to add a little greenery and nestle them in a bowl. This year I added a candle to sparkle off the reflection of the baubles.
You can also see in the reflection of the mirror I added a sweet little skinny flocked tree. I love the sparkle and warmth it adds to our bedroom at night.
Over The Bed
In keeping with the simple set up, I just added a plain pine wreath around a pretty white deer head. I love the pop of white against our dark feature wall. I then added a neutral velvet ribbon to embellish it.
Fireplace or Accent Wall
Accent walls or fireplace mantels are the perfect way to bring in some ambiance and shimmer. I added this pretty pine/eucalyptus garland with a coordinating wreath. Then, I popped in some white berries and fairly lights. TO finish it off and add some warmth, I styled in some wood candle sticks of varying heights and battery operated candles. Everything is on a timer and comes on in the evening to create a beautiful glow in the room. I also added a few of my vintage ornaments to tie in with the ones on the dresser.
