Poison Apple Martini
It’s all about the presentation with these fun drinks. I like to start out by dressing up the glass with some black sugar on the rim. Just dip it in a little honey and tap the edges with some colored sugar.
Ingredients: (makes one drink)
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 T pomegranate juice
- 1 T lemon juice
- 2 oz vodka
- green apple for garnish
Mix all ingredients in a shaker with ice and poor into a martini glass. Garnish with apple slice. I used dry ice for the smoking effect. **If you use the dry ice, be sure to WAIT until all the ice has dissipated before consuming the drink.
Haunted Hallows Cocktail
Ingredients: (makes one drink)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 sprig fresh rosemary
- zest from an orange
- a dash ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup pomegranate or cranberry juice
- cinnamon sugar to garnish glass
- 2 oz tequila
- sparkling water for topping if desired
Make the syrup first by combining the water, honey and rosemary and bring to a boil. Boil 2-3 minutes and add the orange zest and remove from heat. Let cool ( can be kept in glass jar up to 2 weeks)
Rim the glasses with honey and cinnamon sugar.
Combine the juice, tequila a pinch of cinnamon and 1-2 T of the honey syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake to combine. Strain into a glass and top with sparkling water. Garnish with rosemary and a cinnamon stick if desired. I lit the cinnamon stick on fire for a cool smoky effect. I also added dry ice for the presentation. Just don’t drink until all the dry ice is dissipated.
