How do you make your kitchen beautiful for summertime? It can be touch to keep it in order with kids home from school and the busy summer months without a specific routine. So my solution is to keep it simple with just a few touches of summer happiness.
I added this sweet, cheerful citrus theme wreath to the stove hood and it was just the right amount of pop to dress up the room. Just a few things that represent summer like soft greenery, delicate florals and citrus themed accents.
I went really simple using summer citrus fruit in a pretty footed bowl to add a pop of happy color. Oranges, lemons and limes are perfect for adding that fresh vibe. You can use real fruit or faux fruit like strawberries and green apples.
Bringing in pretty textiles like patterned dishtowels and table linens. I added this cute ruffled stripe dishtowel and love the pop of black with the orange.
Create a pretty vignette on a tray or in a basket for easy use. That way you can pick the the entire arrangement and move it if you need more space. I used this pretty wood tray for some warmth and a ceramic vase with wispy greenery and delicate flowers. Of course a summer fragrance candle like citrus, fresh linen or a floral note sets the mood and creates ambiance at night.
Overall I would say lighten things up and create a fresh cheerful setting. You don’t have to add much, in fact less is more for a summer kitchen vibe.
