It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and our kitchen work so hard for us they deserve a dress up too. I mean we spend so much time here and everyone ends up in the kitchen anyway, am I right? So, I’m sharing a few cute and simple ways to create a festive kitchen.
Idea 1
Dress up your vent hood. Create a pretty focal point by adding a wreath or simple greenery to your kitchen space. I actually. made this simple hoop wreath and you can find the details here How To Make A Simple Hoop Christmas Wreath
Idea 2
Create an arrangement with a pretty pot and simple greenery stems. I put this simple vignette together using a large charcuterie board to anchor all the decor. Add a large pot and greens for height. Then add a few decor accents like these deer, trees or bells. Then for the final touch, a beautiful Christmas candle for ambiance and fragrance.
Idea 3
To avoid adding additional clutter, just dress up your everyday spaces with a small stem of greenery and decor accents like these cute trees. I found these at the dollar spot in Target.
Idea 4
Holiday serving pieces can double as decor to dress up a space and also be functional for serving or housing essentials.
Idea 5
Add little accent pieces to open shelves or cabinets. I put away a few dishes we don’t use as often and added in little houses and trees in the empty spaces. Vary the heights and styles using miniature houses and trees. Search dollar spots and miniature craft items in your local craft stores.
I try not to fill the counters too much, especially because we have a tiny kitchen and I need the space for all the cooking and baking that goes on. However, it really only takes a few little items to make your kitchen cheerful and festive.
