It’s Fall and to me, this season means all things “gather”. This time of year begins the start of “time together” from football tailgates to Thanksgiving, there are so many wonderful ways to bring people together. With that being said, it’s also my favorite time to create a beautiful fall harvest tablescape. I love to design a table that is cozy and shows my guests how important they are to me. Something about Fall gives such a cozy, warm vibe and a super easy reason to gather all the things that make people smile.

Centerpiece

The centerpiece is filled with color, texture and touches of warmth. I started with a flannel plaid table runner with warm colors of rust, dark brown and taupe. I then topped it with a large round pizza paddle to anchor the floral arrangement. 

Next, I added this gorgeous pinecone wreath from JCPenney. I love the color combination and since they are on wires, I can easily maneuver them into the shape I want. Be sure to bend the stems up and out and create fullness and dimensions. 

Then, I added this beautiful pumpkin arrangement also from JCPenney. They really have a beautiful selection of fall decor this year and stepped up their entertaining game. I added a few extra stems of leaves to bring in more rust and height to the look. For the final touch, I added my traditional everyday candlesticks ( they are old so I don’t have a source for them) and for ambiance, battery operated birch candles.

Place Setting

My biggest tip for place settings is to layer the items and create more depth. I started with a wood charger as the base then added the coordinating fringe plaid napkin. Next, I added the black dinner plate and folded the top half of the napkin over. The black plate creates a perfect contrasting backdrop for the gorgeous accent plate. This set of 4 plates has different leaf motifs that are the most gorgeous color combinations. They have a faint speckled surface that gives a unique texture and depth. For Fall tables I love to use patterned accent plates. There are so many options for them with pumpkins, leaves and more.

To coordinate with the black dinner plates, I added sleek black flatware to give a more modern, chic look to the entire place setting.
