Four Simple And Beautiful Fall Tablesetting Ideas

Four Simple and Beautiful Fall Tablesetting Ideas

If you’ve been here a while then you’ll know how much I love to entertain, if not well now you do! Yes I love putting together a gathering of any kind. These days not as much since Covid arrived. However, I still think putting together a special table even if just for 2 is a way to make family ad friends feel welcomed and special. Also, it’s important to keep it simple so you yourself can enjoy the moment. In this post I’m sharing 4 simple and beautiful Fall table settings you will love.

Natural Neutrals

This first place setting is so soft and pretty and can used about any time of year. Its all about the tone on tone layers here.

I started with doubling up a burlap place mat with a burlap charger.

Next I added our everyday dinner plate. I’ve had these a long time but any type of neutral pattern less plate would work just great. A little texture is nice too.

Then I topped it with a pretty salad plate with a soft fall motif. I purchased the salad plates at Hobby Lobby.Any fall print would work and that is where you can draw your color scheme from. In keeping with the neutral look, I used a creme napkin and a pretty napkin ring with an organic feel.

Black and White Wimsey

I love using neutral tones even for holidays. That makes them less boring is a fun element of surprise or unexpected whimsy.

I started with a burlap place mat but for a pop of contrast I added a black charger.

Of course next I added the dinner plate. A patterned dinner plate would be fun here too.

For the whimsy, I added a bold black and white check napkin but to tie in with the burlap, added these pretty wood bead napkin rings ( Hobby Lobby)

In keeping with the whimsical theme, I placed a mini cutting board with a minit neural pumpkin. Another option if you prefer a little more color would be to add a pop of orange and use a faux or real mini pumpkin.

Fall Harvest

I’m loving the mustard tones for Fall this year. They look so pretty mixed with wood tones and black. I

This setting starts with a braided jute place mat and then a black charger on top which really gives a pretty contrast.

The mustard napkin was folded lengthwise and placed across the charger and tucked under at the top.

I layered the dinner plate on to and you could also add another layer with a salad plate if you wanted.

These cute cutting boards have been so fun for all kind of place settings. They are unexpected and give another layer when adding accessories to the look.

Finally,  i picked up the colors in the salad plates and anchored the cute gourd(dollar spot at Target) in a mini wreath atop the little wood boards. The layers create height and give the place setting a unique look.

Bountiful Fall Layers

This look is all about the layers. Using jute, burlap and greenery gives a big variety of texture.

The first layer is a detailed jute place mat followed by a burlap charger.

Then I placed the dinner plate.

For some soft, bountiful color I placed my cute fall plates from Hobby Lobby. The colors are so muted and perfect for putting with a neutral background.

The napkin was placed in a basic fold inside a mini wreath which picks up the green tones in the plate and brightens up the whole look. I love having this included in the fall table settings.

Now you’ll have to wait to see how I complete the tables for each setting. The next four weeks I’ll be sharing a different table with you to see how I created the whole look and what I used to tie in with a centerpiece.

Setting tables is like playing dress up for me. I love the challenge of creating new looks and thinking outside the box a little. If you want to read about more tablescape ideas you can visit this post Fall Tablescape Ideas or this post Fall Tablescape Inspiration
