Yay, Spring is almost here friends!! There is something so exciting about refreshing and simplifying your home after a long winter season. I don’t know about you, but my house starts to feel dark and stuffy and when Spring is near, I can’t wait to lighten up my home and add some fresh, pretty decor to cheer up the house. I stayed pretty simple with my Spring decor this year, so come along the tour and hopefully something will inspire you for your own decor…
On the front porch, I kept things simple by just adding some fresh greenery and a cheerful door hanging. You can visit my post here for how to make it.How To Create A Simple Spring Arrangement For Your Front Door
On the mantel, I added these beautiful faux cherry stems to create a dramatic pop of color against all the neutrals. You can visit this post to see how I made it How To Make Faux Spring Cherry Blossom Branches
I added some green vases to pick up the fresh green color. Then I added these sweet concrete bunnies and incorporated the Spring items in with the regular decor I have on the mantel.
I then just created various vignettes on some tables. This first collection is in keeping with the woods and whites with greenery theme I’m going with. I started with a dough bowl to anchor all the items together. I placed some chunky wood candle holders next to a cake stand with a neutral bunny nestled in a mini wreath.
On this entry way sofa table, I added a tray here to anchor some items as well. I place a vase of real branches from the yard and some sweet little bunnies. Next to the tray, I have a wood dough bowl filled with paper covered Easter eggs.
I started with some faux plastic eggs from the dollar store. Then I cute small strips of newspaper (The paper I used was a French paper I brought home from Paris) I used Mod Podge to place the strips on and brushed it on top. Then once it dried, I used a tea dye stain to age them a little. To display them I nestled them down into some vintage shredded paper.
For the entryway console, I simply placed two cake stands with domes and set some beautiful silver rabbits on some easter grass and placed them next to some greenery topiary’s.
In the living room I like to switch things around on this little end table. for this vignette, I added a faux chocolate bunny to a basket filled with greenery. Then to bring in the robins egg blue, I nestled a group of colorful blue and gray toned eggs in a mini dough bowl.
Another arrangement I’ve used is a simple pitcher with faux tulips and a faux bunny in foil. Soft color and hints of spring freshness!
In the living room, I kept my pillow neutral with pops of black pattern so that my simple colored branches would be the spotlight. The centerpiece on the coffee table is another dough bowl with a soft greenery garland and a white bunny set nestled inside.
In the kitchen I just wanted a feeling with blooming tulips and soft color against the white. Some simple greenery and faux tulips did the job.
Another simple vignette is to use a bird-cage and fill them with greenery, bird nests and eggs or your favorite flowers.
Overall, simple touches here and there giving hints of spring and fresh greenery is really just enough to spark the renewed energy this beautiful season gives us.
And….. here’s a little sneak peek of what’s to come for table settings. I will have 6 different table settings filled with ideas and sources you can incorporate into your own table settings and decor.
