How can she be 18 already?

As soon as I returned home from NYC, I had to jump right into planning my baby girl’s 18th birthday {I think I waited so long because I’m in denial!}
When I asked my daughter what she wanted to do she said “just dinner with my friends” Well, after planning 17 years worth of girly birthday parties, I at least wanted one last “theme” party so I begged her to indulge me this one last time. I went with a shabby vintage theme {imagine that!} and really kept it simple, by my standards anyway. I focused on a gorgeous cake, homemade invitations and a fun thank you party favor.

For the invitation I selected vintage style paper and put it together adding a paper doilie for a lace look and tied it together with some vintage ribbon

The cake turned out beautifully {made by my favorite bakery Jenny Layne } I just spray painted and glittered some chip board numbers and added some vintage paper details and burlap.

The party favors were brown french fry boxes with nail polish goodies in a bag and finished off with pretty vintage paper, lace and pearl buttons.

The party was bittersweet, enjoying time with all these girls we’ve watched grow up into such lovely young ladies. We have enjoyed every moment with them and can’t believe they will all be leaving for college in less than a year!
Hang on tight to them, it goes by fast!!
