Holiday season is upon us and it’s time to get our homes ready. I like to start creating a festive guest room to make our friends and family feel extra special. I created this beautiful holiday guest room with items from Wayfair. Here are my tips for designing a festive guest room.
Creating a welcoming guest room doesn’t need to be expensive or complicated. I usually start by stripping down the bed and giving the room a thorough cleaning.
Tip #1
Add a set of festive holiday sheets. I love the whimsical graphic on these and they are perfect for the style of this room. You can find so many patterns and prints at https://www.wayfair.com/. They also have the best prices. guaranteed.
Tip #2
Next, be sure to add a fluffy duvet or comforter and an extra blanket so your guests will be cozy while in their room.
Tip #3
Add pretty and festive greenery. I love this delicate holly garland. It has a light frost on it and it’s easy to maneuver to get the shape you want. I just attached it to the bed frame with some zip ties.
Tip #4
Cozy things up by adding a festive holiday pillow. Wayfair has the best selection of pillows in many styles, colors and sizes.
Tip #5
For the final touch, I love to add a welcoming basket. You can use a tray or basket and fill it with essentials your guest may need or enjoy. I like to place toiletry items and snacks as well as a few water bottles. Some fluffy bath towel and festive hand towels and wash cloths are a nice touch and make people feel extra special. These cute and towels from Wayfair added some holiday vibes to the welcome goodies.
Just a few small additions can really take the room to the next level and create a welcoming “extra” vibe. Your guests will feel special and loved in the cozy space created for them. What better way to share your home with others?
