Baby it’s cozy inside and I’m here for it. Do you decorate your bedroom for Christmas? I never used to, but the past few years I’ve added some festive twinkle lights and greenery and it makes bedtime extra cozy and special. I love The warm fuzzy vibes and comfort just a few small touches can make. Here are some ideas to make your own bedroom snuggly for the holidays.
I’ve always felt like our bedrooms should be a place of retreat and comfort so I avoided adding too much clutter and decor in ours. This always kept me from adding holiday touches because I worried it would feel stuffy and overdone. However with just a few simple additions, you can create a festive mood without overdoing it.
Simple Greenery
Instead of adding a lot of garland and strands of greens, keep things simple with a few plain wreaths and a classic bow that coordinates with the rooms decor.
Pretty Accents
I added a few gold trees to give a classic more clean lined feel and to coordinate with some of the gold already in the room. I also mixes textures like metallic and wood to dress it down and warm things up. A wood bowl is perfect for holding a few gold vintage ornaments and a few sprigs of pine.
Neutral Colors
Keep the busy color for the main areas of your home and go with soft monochromatic neutrals for the bedroom, it creates a more cohesive and soothing atmosphere . I added some neutral faux fur pillows and layered tones of creme and taupe in the bedding.
Twinkle Lights
We added a skinny flocked tree with twinkle lights along with battery operated candles. The lighting just gives the most beautiful. glow and warmth. It makes your room feel extra special.
Keep It Simple
It’s important to keep the decor to a minimum if you don’t want it to feel cluttered or too busy. I kept the mantel more natural implementing warm woods and natural looking cedar garland and swags.
I added the same ribbon to the light sconce as I did to the wreath over the bed to coordinate all the elements and bring in the color scheme to all spaces.
It’s so cozy with all the twinkle lights… ( I may have to leave them up through the Winter)
