Can you believe Eater is almost here? It kind of crept up on me. I wanted to share this super cute and easy Easter napkin DIY you can make for your table. I got my inspo from some similar I found at Pier 1 imports. However, since they are out of business I thought I could make my own and share the how to so you can have them too.

 

I love the neutral black and white gingham of course but you can use any fabric color or print you want to coordinate with your table decor.

 

 

Supplies Needed:

• Fabric of your choice. Since it’s a small shape i recommend selecting a smaller print like checks or polka dots
• Wonder under or applique paper
• Fabric puff paint
• Pompoms (any size you prefer)
• Scissors
• Iron

 

 

Step #1

Create the pattern for the shape you want. You can do a flower or something Spring related as well. I just drew a simple bunny pattern on paper and cut it out to trace my fabric

 

 

Step #2

 

Follow package directions of the applique paper. For mine I ironed the cut out fabric bunny on one side. Then cut it out from there and peeled the back off.

 

 

 

Step #3

Iron your applique to the area you want it and let cool.

 

 

 

Step #4

Use the puff paint to trace and outline the bunny shape. Be careful to let it fully dry a few hours before the next step.

 

 

 

Step #5

Hot glue the pompom tail onto the bunny. You can also use a fabric glue. Since I will be hand washing them, I decided to go with hot glue.

 

 

 

That’s all there is to it. I think they are such a cute touch to add to your Easter table and super easy to whip up. I suggest doing an assembly line and have all your shapes cut out. It goes faster that way. Since I will probably get asked, the cute bunny plates were purchased from Pier 1 Imports a few years ago.
