Is there any better combo than strawberries and chocolate? This treat is so super simple and delish you will want to make them even if it isn’t valentine’s day. These have a little different twist than your regular chocolate covered strawberries. I love that they have a more bite sized shape and the chocolate isn’t over powering. So let’s learn how to make heart shaped chocolate covered strawberries.

 

I love that they look like little heart lolly pops. So easy and quite tasty I must say.

 

Here’s what you need:

• container of dipping chocolate
• fresh strawberries
• lolly pop treat sticks

 

 

Start with some fresh med-large strawberries and clean well .

 

 

Step 1

Cut out the stems and cut strawberries in half. I used a small paring knife to cut a hole in the top to remove the stem. You could also use a melon corer as well.

 

 

Step 2

Insert treat sticks into the bottom part of the cut strawberry. Be sure not to poke them through the back. This is why a larger strawberry is easier to work with.

 

 

Step 4

Melt chocolate in microwave according to package directions. They would look pretty with white chocolate as well and you can decorate with sprinkles to make them really festive.

 

 

Step 5

Dip strawberries half way into chocolate and place on parchment paper to dry. You can place them in the refrigerator to harden faster if desired.
