BOO!!! You are cordially invited to attend the Haunted Forest Soiree…..come if you dare!!
Y’all I had so much fun putting this chic, creepy haunted table setting together. I had this vision of a wooded forest with branches and moss and of course spiders and bats. So this fun table was born and I named it Haunted Forest Soiree. I also have more Halloween decor ideas and you can read about them here How To Create A Spooky And Pretty Halloween Table Spooky Halloween Decorating Ideas
Is there anything creepier than a haunted forest? Umm I think not… But I wanted to add a little sophistication to it too. I mean it is a “soiree” after-all…Basically there are 4 elements to this table.
Element #1
Background
To start off I really wanted the whole thing to be mostly black but I didn’t want a solid black table cloth. The lace was perfect to start with so the wood of the table could peek through and the place settings would still standout. Then For the base of the centerpiece I added a long narrow board to house all the items and give another layer of wood to break up the black.
Element #2
Place Setting
This was so super easy and I love the simplicity to it. A simple black charger and mini cutting board to break up the black and mimic the centerpiece. The bat folded napkin is super easy and you can watch a video of how to fold it below. The glittered spider adds a bit of creepy and glam.
Element #3
Centerpiece
The star of the table is Mr.Bones of course. To create this look I used a cake plate covered with black cloth to create some height. Then I rested the skull on a nest of moss and added some fern pieces I painted black to look like they were growing out of the moss.
Next, I surrounded Mr. Bones with pumpkins I spray painted matte black and some crows. To give a forest floor look, I added A strand of mossy looking garland.
To bring in the Soiree feel I added these fun wine bottles . I just added some haunted labels to the bottles, and outlined them with a glitter paint . To finish them off, I place some moss and sticks in the mouth of the bottle and tied a skeleton with vintage ribbon.
The perfect bottle of poison for a spooky table. Then of course for the Forest effect, I tied branches from the yard with fishing line from the chandelier and a few crows perched above.
Element #4
Ambiance
Candlelight always adds a pretty mood and effect to any space. Of course for a haunted forest it is a must. I used some tea-lights tucked around and then added some birch looking battery operated lights.
SHOP THE POST
I love the effect the candles give at night and it definitely finishes the table off perfectly. So what do you think? Would you attend my haunted party? Don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter for the newest updates at Hip & Humble Style .
