Easy Uses For Getting Started With Essential Oils

Hey, have y’all jumped on the essential oil train yet? I always wondered what the big fuss was until one day a few years ago I got really sick and decided with my health compromised, I was going to research everything healthy I could do to change. Essential oils have been a game changer in so many ways. I have several recipes and ways I use them but in this post, I’m sharing a few “roller” recipes you will love.

I think one reason people shy away from good essential oils is the price. But when you cost compare what you spend for cleaning supplies, medications and beauty products there can be quite a savings once basic investment is made. You can visit this post to see some fun ideas of things to make with your essential oils How To Make A Pretty And Easy Mother’s Day Gift With Homemade essential oil products
You can slowly start adding the list below to get your supplies to make products. That way it won’t be such a big investment all at once.
The basic essentials needed for most items are;

  • white vinegar
  • hydrogen peroxide
  • witch hazel
  • distilled water
  • shea butter
  • coconut oil
  • jojoba oil
  • cocoa butter
  • vitamin e oil
  • beeswax

However, my suggestion is to start small with these roller bottle recipes. You only need a few oils & fractionated coconut oil ( that’s coconut oil in its liquid form.)
Also, you’ll need some blue or amber roller bottles that can be purchased on my Amazon Store front  http://www.amazon.com/shop/hipandhumblestyle.com (that protects the quality of your oils rather than a clear bottle)

The oils you will need for these recipes are;

  • Peppermint
  • Eucalyptus
  • Lavender
  • Joy
  • Stress Away
  • Thieves
  • Frankincense
  • Peppermint
  • Ginger
  • Bergamot

Here are the oil combinations for each roller

Immune

  • 4 drops Thieves
  • 3 drops Frankincense

Headache

  • 5 drops Lavender
  • 5 drops Peppermint
  • 5 drops Frankincense

Queasy tummy

  • 5 drops Peppermint
  • 5 drops Ginger
  • 3 drops Digeze

Relax

  • 10 drops Stress Away
  • 10 drops Lavender

Anxiety Relief

  • 15 drops Orange
  • 15 drops Lavender
  • 20 drops Bergamot

First, with a small funnel add your oils, then fill the rest of the roller with your coconut oil… and that’s it! I love to carry these with me as well so make a double batch to have extra on hand. Be sure to add a label to each jar so you know what its for.

I also like to make room sprays. They are another simple product to make. All you need are your oils, witch hazel or vodka and distilled water. You can spray them on linens, in closets, on laundry, in shoes or any areas you want to freshen up. I even mist my furniture to get rid of “dog smells”!

Here are my favorite recipes: Add your oils, the witch hazel or alcohol and fill the rest of the bottle with distilled water.

  • Calm-
    • 3 drops Frankincense
    • 2 drops Copiaba
  • Fresh and Clean-
    • 2 drops Purification
    • 3 drops Thieves
  • Clear Air-
    • 4 Drops RC
    • 2 drops Purification
  • Sweet dreams-
    • 2 drops Copiaba
    • 2 drops Lavender
    • 2 drops Stress Away
  • Focus/energize-
    • 3 drops Lemon
    • 2 drops Peppermint

These sprays are so useful for many things based on what your needs are. I keep them in my laundry room for various purposes when needed. I use the fresh and clean for stinky laundry,  sweet dreams stays next to my bedside,  as does the calm and I spray my pillow with them .
There are just so many uses for essential oils and I’m so amazed with the mood boosting and health benefits of them. I highly recommend starting small and once you do, you’ll be convinced with how important they are to incorporate into your daily life.
