Beautiful Ways To Add Touches Of Fall To Your Bedroom

Do you decorate your bedroom for the holidays? I never really used to and I don’t know why. However, in our old home, our bedroom was upstairs and no one really ever saw it except us. Therefore, it felt too cluttered if I added more. Now that our bedroom is downstairs and visible from the main part of the house, I like using it as an extension of our decor. Decorating the bedroom for fall has become a hobby come fall and winter! I have several different Fall decor styles as inspo and you can check them out here Fall Decor Home Tour Inspiration And Ideas and here Early Fall Home Tour Inspiration.

I think I’ve mentioned before but when I decorate for the holidays I like to start with the mantel. It’s where I can create a vision the best and base the rest of my decor from that. I love our dark moody wall, color Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams. It creates such a wonderful backdrop for a variety of looks. The antique gold really looks beautiful against that strong color so I decided to take it into the Fall decor this year.

To keep it from being too formal, I incorporated some warm wood tones and kept the look monochromatic. Stems of soft wheat, mustard and bleached eucalyptus made the perfect arrangement. I added some pops of cream colored berries to finish the look.

Instead of searching for the perfect gold pumpkins, I just spray painted some old gourds that I never really liked and wow did they come to life! They were the perfect finishing touch to the whole look. Remember that you can always spray paint an outdated item and give it a new life!

When decorating the dresser I really wanted a delicate soft arrangement because of the bold wall and gold accents. I created this stand along with some other styles in this post here How To Make Simple Wood Candlesticks And StandsI really liked the raw unfinished look

This type of centerpiece is so easy. Just clip off a few branch stems and place them under a pumpkin that rests on a cake plate or stand and that’s it!

Over the bed I placed  simple wheat wreath over the mirrors I already had hanging. Then to balance it out I placed a wheat bundle on each nightstand to create a little symmetry. Of course adding some cozy layers to your bedding is the perfect touch to get the Fall vibes. A pretty throw or duvet in a warmer tone and with some texture.

Here’s another look using more vibrant orange tones. If you aren’t sure, start with just some simple items that are neutral and as it gets closer to Fall add brighter pops of color.

Adding just a few simple items is all you need to achieve the fall feels. So do you think you’ll try a little decor in your room this year?
