How To Create An Outdoor Romantic Tablescape for 2

Hey friends, I’m pretty sure this will go down as the weirdest summer ever? Am I right? With the stay at home order, so many of us are trying to do our best to enjoy our summer and plan activities in spite of still being home. I put together a romantic outdoor tablescape to give you some inspiration for creating a special evening with your significant other.

Creating a special evening at home doesn’t have to cost much, in fact it can be free! I just pulled items we already owned and put together an elegant yet cozy setting and incorporated greenery from our yard.

I pulled together some black chargers, our everyday dinner plates, some bold patterned napkins and 2 sets of napkin rings to layer. I wanted a crisp and somewhat elegant look so I stayed with crisp black and white but dressed it down with a more whimsical napkin and a fun effect with the napkin ring.

#1 Greenery from the yard

First I went to the garden and clipped pretty greener, flowers and fresh herbs to create a pretty centerpiece. The herbs also give off such a beautiful fragrance.

Then I jsut arranged the greens and flowers in a fun vase that has bold lines but a little dressy feel.

#2 Candles for Ambiance

I also added some tealight candle holders for some ambiance on the table. I went with low candles to keep it more intimate and not to block the view.

#3 Pillows and Plants

Another way to add the cozy romantic feel is to add some beautiful pillows with various texture. I also wanted the space to feel more intimate and enclosed, so I brought several plants into the space and surrounded it to enclose it for the cozy atmosphere.

One final, but very important element to add is lighting. Candles add so much ambiance and gives a more romantic feel to any area. This fire bowl gave everything a beautiful glow. Its easy to make too. You can visit this post to see how How To Make A DIY Tabletop Fire Bowl

We had such a nice evening and it was wonderful to connect . Even though we were home, it felt special anyway and I love how the intimate setting was comfortable and relaxing.

I know things may not be normal this summer, but you can create special moments with just little details  and enjoy those moments with your family or significant other just as much. I hope you will have an opportunity to do this before the end of summer, its a great way to make new memories.
