How To Make A Beautiful Citrus Themed Homemade Gift Set

“A sweet friendship refreshes the soul” Proverbs 27:9 I love showing friends and family how special they are to me. Whenever I can make a gift extra special for someone, I do it. For me, the packaging and presentation are the best part too. I think it shows them how important they are and how much they mean to me. I’ve also always loved making homemade products with essential oils. I think they are healthier and I love how much they can be customized. This gift set was super fun in this citrus theme. I have several other fragrances and theme ideas, you can read about them here How To Make A Pretty And Easy Mother’s Day Gift With Homemade essential oil products, here Simple, Inexpensive & Pretty Homemade Gift wrap & card ideas-(perfect for mothers day or teacher gifts), and here How To Make Homemade Soaps Come see how easy and how much fun these citrus homemade gifts are to make…

Packaging

The presentation of the gift is my favorite thing to design. I start by thinking of a theme, what I’m going to make and then I work on how I’m going to package and present it.

Here are the supplies you need for the gift wrap:

  • Foldable boxes or container of your choice- gift bags would be perfect.
  • Filler such as shredded paper or tissue
  • Ribbon of your choice
  • Florals/greenery to embellish the gift
  • Various jars and containers for your homemade products.
  • The labels are on my printable page. If you are subscribed you will get a password to the page.

Citrus Burst Bath Soak

Supplies:

  • Essential oils of your choice. I used Orange, Lime, Lemon, geranium and grapefruit.
  • 1 cup of plain Epsom Salts
  • 1/2 pink Himalayan salts
  • Finely chopped rosemary
  • Glass container of your choice. I purchased mine at Hobby Lobby

First, mix the 2 salts together. Then add your oils.

10 drops orange

6 drops lemon

5 drops geranium

3 drops lime

3 drops grapefruit

Once those ingredients are mixed, add your chopped rosemary and mix well. Then add to your container and place on the label. You can also tie your own tags to them too.

Citrus Burst Body Scrub

Supplies:

  • 1/2 cup fractionated coconut oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Essential oils of your choice. I used Citrus fresh, Orange, Lime and Geranium( wanted a light floral note)
  • Glass container of your choice. Mine is from Hobby Lobby

Combine the salt and coconut oil and mix well until you get the consistency you like. I prefer a drier mixture more like just lightly wet sand. You want to make sure it’s not too oily or it will settle at the bottom of the jar

Sweet Orange Hand Salve

Supplies:

  • Coconut Oil
  • Cocoa butter
  • Beeswax
  • Avocado oil
  • Vitamin oil
  • Essential oils of your choice
  • Metal container of your choice

In a double boiler,  combine the coconut oil, the cocoa butter, beeswax, avocado oil and on medium heat stir until melted. Once all the oils have melted, remove from the heat. Then add the vitamin E oil and essential oils. Stir well. Then pour the mixture into your metal container. Once the mixture cools it will firm up and once cool be a litter lighter  in color. Add your label.

Once all of your products are complete, its time to put together your beautiful gift. First unfold the box and open it up. Next add your tissue or filler ( just a small amount). Then tuck in all your goodies. I also added a mini scoop in the box for getting the product out.

Finally close up the box and tie your ribbon around the box and tuck in your embellishments. What made this so beautiful is the large scale of the embellishments. That’s what gives this a wow factor. You can also make a simple tag and tuck it into the ribbon.

So wouldn’t you love to get a fun gift like this, I would! I hope you enjoyed this and will be able to try making your own gifts.
